Sahara desert excursion

After leaving Ouarzazate at 7:00 a.m, you get a quick journey to the midst of desert dunes in a short time crossing "Tizi-n-Tinift"(1660m) and Jbel Saghro .The we carry on the journey passing by "Agdaz village" to "Tansikt" alongside Draa River( The Moroccan Mississipi) , flows for over than 200 km to get absorbed in the desert land , where the Amazigh villages and their Kasbahs are scattered around the palm trees . The taken road used to be commercial caravans' alley that linked Marrakesh and Toumboktou. Then, we keep on the travel to Zagora.

You get departed to Tamgrout to visit "Zaouia Ennasiria", ancient Islamic University and its Old Library full of medieval manuscripts, local pottery and an underground Kasbah. Next, we move on to the Sahara dunes (Tinfou Dunes) where you get on a picnic riding camels around the dunes to experience the mythic moment of witnessing the magic of the Sahara quietness and wisdom. After that, you go back to Zagoura to have lunch and enjoy swimming in the charming Riad's swimming-pool before leaving to Ouarzazate.
